[Scheduled] Cloud Service Migration of the ITS Confluence and ITS Jira Services

As part of ongoing application modernisation activities, the ITS Confluence and ITS Jira services will be migrated in full from their legacy on-premise environments, to new Atlassian-hosted cloud environments.

This migration will deliver improved platform security for both applications, access to new cloud-only service features, greater service availability, and improved service performance.

Upon successful completion of the cloud migration, new service URLs will be as follows:

Resolution The cloud service migrations of the ITS Confluence and ITS Jira services over the weekend were successful.

[Scheduled] Confluence and Jira attachment migration to cloud service

As part of the cloud service migration for both our Confluence and Jira services that will be commencing on Friday, December 12, 2025, the project team will be conducting a full migration of all Confluence and Jira attachments to our new cloud services from 4pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

This work is being conducted to optimise and shorten our final production migration window.

Confluence and Jira users may experience slightly degraded performance during this attachment migration window.

Resolution The managed upgrade of the UQ Extend service to the ‘Teak’ Open EdX platform version was successful. (08:00 AEST — Dec 12)

We have had to move this forward 24 hours. In preparation for the cloud service migration for Confluence we need to take an offline backup of the Confluence environment.
