System performance issues are currently being experienced by users of the UQ StudentHub (Careerhub) service.
Current issues include internittent service logon failures, and overall slow application performance for users already logged into the platform.
A critical support ticket has been logged with the service provider.
Resolution A background task responsible for building the index which controls search results and many other functions of UQ StudentHub had failed, but the system continued attempting to rebuild it repeatedly. Combined with other activities running in UQ StudentHub at the time, this caused CPU usage to reach maximum capacity, which resulted in unscheduled performance issues.
Vendor support worked with the application development team to clear the failed task and successfully rebuild the necessary database indexes. (15:15 AEST — May 13)
