Guest (External) Account are being prompted with UQ Auth

We are current investigating reports of Guest accounts (non UQ account) in M365 (MS Teams) being prompted for UQ Auth.

Update A possible work around is the external signs into m365 via https://teams.cloud.microsoft/ and switch to the UQ tenant if they are using MS Teams for their organisation. (15:24 AEST — Sep 9)

Update SharePoint / OneDrive external access may have the same issue. (15:36 AEST — Sep 9)

Resolution The issue has been resolved and external accounts can access shared SharePoint/OneDrive files and MS Teams for collaboration.

An authentication policy applied to an specific application inadvertently applied the tenant instead of the application. (13:45 AEST — Sep 11)
